Vegas Cubanas Invictos By Don Pepin Garcia

When the talk is about Don Pepin Garcia I’m on the abc level since I don’t have much experience with his products. Some what I did I purchased 2 samples that has 5 or Pepin’s cigars to be aware of what’s going on. So this is the first to be reviewed “Vegas Cubanas” by Don Pepin Garcia and here what I found:

Initial thoughts:

Very nice work one this robusto, kind of box pressed and will packed with tobacco. The wrapper is beautiful tanned and with decent amount of oil which has some minimal veins of it. The pre light draw was very good brings notes of earth and fruit. The burn was good leaving a light gray ash that holds for an inch or so.

Wrapper: Habano Rosado Claro
Binder: Nicaragua corojo
Filler: Nicaragua corojo

1st third:

Mild to medium at first with some sweet fruity cedary notes. An inch down the smoke is silky smooth with soft flavors of fruit and sweet cedar as base and hints of earth and pepper. The end of this third shows some nice mild coffee and cocoa.

2nd third:

It is almost straight medium body smoke ,but still smooth and creamy with decent amount of flavors. the flavors profile has more pronounced characters like sweet coffee, cocoa , tobacco and hints of spiciness and earth.

Final third:

Still medium body smoke with stable flavors profile. Some notes of caramel here at the last third of the cigar with no more changes of the rest.

Final thoughts:

This is a very good morning, afternoon or second of the day cigar while it’s not overwhelming. However, I like my smoke to have more complexity in flavors. Yes I lie it and I’ll got some of it in the near future.

Others thoughts:
