Davidoff Millennium Blend Piramides

Davidoff is a well known Quality and Ultra Premium cigar, and Mellinium is the most full-flavored in the range. i first smoked it 3 years back and was gifted from one of my best friends. so far i had lots of them and i think i can judge it by now. so here what i found:

Ring Gauge: 52
Length: 6 1/8″
Wrapper: Sungrown Ecuadorian
Binder: Dominican Sungrown
Filler: Dominican Ligero and Seco
Initial thoughts:

A piece of art, well made pyramid. Firmly packed with a solid body and beautiful oily light brown wrapper that has some small veins on it. The pre-light draw always good delivers a deep earth and cocoa hints. The burn is the best and the ash almost white and holds for 1 1/2 inch before it fall.

1st third:

Initial puffs were mild and creamy in body but, got very nice mount of sweet tobacco and earth flavors. Quickly it changes to show the other side of the coin with balanced pepper and wood and straight medium body smoke. Rich earth appears here with floral and sweet finish. The end of this third is pleasant with hint of sweet cedar.

2nd third:

A lot of rich dominican tobacco, sweet cedar, pepper and earth flavors begins this part with hints of caramel and cocoa. The body is still medium and smooth. The profile becomes more complex when the flavors mirages together. Nothing changed by the end of this third.

Final third:

The strength of the body increased here to become medium to full but no harshness. There are more new flavors could be found like a cocoa beans, and just little of coffee to add more complexity to the smoke. With less pepper and earth more of cedar, cocoa, caramel and sweet tobacco this guy ends the journey.

Final thoughts:

I’ve read tens of reviews about this cigar and found most of them are negative, I don’t know why!! But for me this it a great cigar that could be enjoyed at any occasion. From my experience this cigar ages well and gets more complex. When talk Cubans Cohiba appears even if its not the best, still great, Davidoff in the Non Cubans is just the same.

  1. I don’t see too many Davidoff reviews, so thanks for this one. It sounds like a great smoke, and a great friend to gift it to you!

  2. Nice review. It looks and sounds like a great cigar. I might have to give this one a try. I love a cigar that is smooth, full strength with a some of that great cedar taste. That’s one reason why I like the Grand Habano #5.
